Tom Pearce is a co-founder of MAXEX and serves as its CEO and Chairman of the Board. He brings over 30 years of expertise within the community banking and insurance arenas as well as expertise within the mortgage finance, credit and asset management arenas.

Prior to MAXEX, Pearce served on the Board of Directors of Five Oaks Investment Corp (NYSE: OAKS), a mortgage REIT sponsored by XL Group Plc. From 2002 to 2011, he was founder and Managing Partner of Vertical Capital, LLC which was sponsored by Bank of America to specialize in the management of non-agency RMBS as well as bank loans. At its peak, Vertical managed more than $14 billion in assets. Prior to founding Vertical Capital, from 1998 to 2002, Pearce was a founder and CEO of Peachtree Financial, LLC which was a middle-market commercial lending firm and rated servicer sponsored by First Union Bank and A.J. Gallagher. From 1986 to 1998, he served as a Managing Director/Principal and senior member of the Mortgage Department at Bear Stearns where he focused on risk management solutions and portfolio optimization for community banks and insurance companies.

Pearce holds a BA from Washington and Lee University where he still serves on the Advisory Board of W&L’s Connelly School for Entrepreneurism.

Bill Decker serves as President of MAXEX and brings over 30 years of community banking, capital markets, information technology, fixed income, portfolio management and mortgage banking experience to the Company.

Prior to joining MAXEX, he was the founder and CEO of Lydian Data Services, a residential mortgage conduit with over 700 correspondents electronically linked to 8 out of the top 10 Wall Street dealers generating nearly $40 billion per annum in loan volume. Decker also founded and served as President of Lydian Trust Company, the bank holding company of Lydian. Together with its subsidiaries, the company did over $130 million in revenue. Prior to Lydian, he served as the President of two community banks: VirtualBank and Enterprise National Bank. Prior to that, Decker spent his career in banking, portfolio management and trading with senior positions at First Atlanta/Wachovia, Southeast Bank, Barnett Bank, and Bank South.

He holds a BS in Finance from the University of Denver.

Brennan Walters serves as the Chief Revenue Officer for MAXEX. In his 18 years in the mortgage and finance industry, Walters has made his mark by building scalable businesses in complex markets.

Prior to MAXEX, he held several executive leadership positions at PennyMac, including Managing Director of Servicing Investments and Executive Vice President of Acquisitions. In his approximately 10 years at Penny Mac, Walters was responsible for creating and expanding multiple high-growth businesses, including establishing the company’s mortgage servicing rights acquisition business, which purchased more than $100 billion in assets, and transforming its GNMA early buyout program into a business segment that generated over $750 million across the last four quarters. Prior to Penny Mac, he held several sales and business development leadership positions during his eight-year tenure with Bank of America.

Walters is a California native, receiving his BA in Businesses Administration from Cal-State Northridge and his Masters of Business Administration from Texas A&M Commerce.

Brennan Walters

Daniel Wallace has over 30 years of experience as an accomplished operator, entrepreneur, and investor, recognized for building large-scale, technology-driven platforms in mortgage, asset management and capital markets. Previously, he served as General Manager of Lending at Figure Technologies, a digital lender leveraging blockchain technology, where he played a pivotal role in building Figure into the largest non-bank HELOC originator.

Most recently, Wallace served as CEO of Haven Servicing, a financial technology company focused on enhancing engagement among mortgage servicers, originators, borrowers, and investors. His career also includes leading and scaling successful platforms as CEO of FirstKey Mortgage a Cerberus Capital Management portfolio company; Co-Founder and Managing Partner at Capital Crossing; and Managing Director at Lehman Brothers.

He is a graduate of Carnegie-Mellon University and has served on the CMU Board of Trustees and currently serves on the Dietrich College Advisory Board.

Stephen Wilhoit has more than 25 years of professional experience in operations, legal, accounting and administration.

Prior to MAXEX, he was a Managing Director of Torchlight Investors, a $4 billion institutional manager of commercial real estate debt. In 1999, Wilhoit co-founded Lydian Trust Company and, from 2004 until its sale in 2009, was President of Lydian Data Services, a business process outsourcing company providing loan fulfillment services to leading Wall Street firms including JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank. Prior to that, he was with Ocwen Financial Corporation (NYSE: OCN) from 1990 to 1997, where he was Senior Vice President with responsibility for the Law and Default Servicing groups.

Wilhoit received a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia and a JD from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Stephen Wilhoit

Clayton Greenfield has 20 years of financial services experience with a diverse background including senior positions in credit risk management, due diligence, underwriting, sales, secondary marketing, and operations for top tier financial institutions and investment banks.

Prior to MAXEX, he served as President and COO of Aklero Risk Analytics (now LoanLogics), an award winning financial services and technology firm. Greenfield also served as CEO of Hall Underwriting and Consulting, a leading financial services provider. From 2001 to 2009, he was Executive Vice President at Lydian Data Services, a residential mortgage conduit, where he developed business processes and systems and managed operations consisting of more than 600 employees.

Greenfield received a BS in Business Management from State University of New York College at Oswego.

Brian Ruzycki, Chief Technology Officer at MAXEX, brings over 25 years of technology leadership in the mortgage industry. He leads the development of MAXEX’s multi-seller-to-multi-buyer exchange platform, driving key growth initiatives for 2025 and accelerating the company’s AI strategy.

Prior to MAXEX, Brian served as CTO at Homeowners Financial Group, where he supported nationwide expansion through scalable, secure, and tech-driven solutions. He also held senior technology roles at Black Knight, Mr. Cooper, Carrington, and Fairway, building and optimizing technology infrastructures at scale.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rutgers University.

Andy Payment leads MAXEX’s marketing team and the alignment of the company’s growth driving functions. He has spent more than 20 years helping startup, growth and FORTUNE 500 financial technology companies scale through marketing and revenue operations.

Prior to MAXEX, Payment held senior marketing positions at Global Payments, Verifone and First Data. He has also helped dozens of fintech startups as a consultant, mentor and advisor. Payment was named to PR Weeks’ 40 under 40 in 2017.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and an MBA in Finance, both from Georgia State University.

Chris Boldman has 20 years of financial services experience in management roles over legal, operations, audit and underwriting functions.

Prior to MAXEX, he served as Chief Legal Officer of CMCO Mortgage, LLC, a nationwide 1-4 family mortgage lender, where he was responsible for all legal matters affecting the company, as well as managing underwriting, closing and funding operations. From 2001 to 2011, Boldman served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Lydian Trust Company, where he was in charge of all legal and regulatory matters affecting Lydian and its subsidiaries Lydian Data Services and Lydian Private Bank. From 1993 to 2001, he was Senior Vice President at diversified financial services companies Ocwen Financial Corporation and its subsidiary Ocwen Federal Bank. Boldman specialized in distressed asset acquisitions, mortgage originations and regulatory matters.

He received a BA in History from the University of Maryland and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School.

Maloch Spivey is the Managing Director of Loan Operations and Transaction Management for MAXEX. A 17-year veteran of the mortgage operations space, Spivey excels in process management and taking an analytical approach to remap and optimize the operations process.

Prior to MAXEX, he was SVP of Correspondent Lending at Wells Fargo, where he led a team that reduced operational cost resulting in $16 million in annual savings for the company. His expertise comes from touching every piece of the loan operations process throughout his career. Starting with an entry-level role as an underwriter for consumer loans, Spivey worked up through leadership roles in loan administration, becoming the Vice President of HARP Retail Fulfillment in 2011. In all of his roles, he demonstrated a distinct ability to standardize processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost while also enhancing the quality of the products and reducing risk.

Spivey is a Georgia native and received his BA in Businesses Administration from Valdosta State University.

Charlie Wickliffe has more than twenty years of sales and capital markets experience within the institutional fixed income arena, with a strong emphasis on trading mortgage loans and securitized products, as well as five years of previous experience as an attorney.

Prior to joining MAXEX, Wickliffe held a variety of sales and sales management roles at Nomura Securities (2009-2014), UBS Investment Bank (2002-2009), and Salomon Smith Barney/Citigroup (1999-2002). From 1995 to 1999, Wickliffe was a Senior Associate on the Products Liability Litigation Team at King & Spalding in Atlanta.

Wickliffe has a B.A. from Duke University and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
